Tire Rotation
Rotating your car’s tires is important because it allows the tires to wear evenly. It takes years for a car’s tires to wear down so it might seem trivial to get your tires rotated every 5,000 miles, but the sides of the tires do wear quicker than the rest and tires also wear down based on often you make turns.
When we make right hand turns, the turns are much sharper because we do not need to crossover an additional traffic lane. However, when we make a left turn, we must cross one lane of traffic. When we turn right, there is much more pressure put on the tires on the left side of the vehicle and vice versa. Since our right turns are much sharper, the tires on the left side of the car (mainly in the front) wear faster than the other tires. This is why it is important to make sure that your tires wear evenly and you do not end up with one balding tire.
Tire Balance
After your tires have been rotated, we will make sure that they are properly balanced. Properly balanced tires are important to ensure that you do not have future uneven wear on your tires.
