EV Buyers: $4,000 Incentive Offered; Ioniq 5 Big On Style & Tech

Hyundai Ioniq 5 buyers will be able to qualify for a $4,000 rebate through Illinois’ Climate and Equitable Jobs Act. But act quickly. The rebate is reduced to $2,000 in 2026 and only $1,000 in 2028.

Electric vehicle buyers will enjoy the effort placed on style and technology in the Ioniq 5. The Ioniq 5 has big digital displays with retro-themed styling. Electric vehicle shoppers will have plenty to love on the new Ioniq 5.

With one of the fastest charging times in its class, the Ioniq 5 will provide a full charge in only 8.2 hours. And EV drivers can quickly charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. The Mustang Mach-E and Audi E-Tron take about 10 hours to charge fully.

As long as funds are available, Illinois residents that purchase an all-electric passenger vehicle in Illinois will be able to apply for a rebate. Illinois requires the purchaser must retain ownership of the vehicle for a minimum of 12 consecutive months immediately after the vehicle purchase date, with only one rebate will be issued to a purchaser in any 10-year period.
