It's official: the 2012 Hyundai Elantra has been named the 2012 North American Car of the Year! The winner was announced today at a news conference at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. This is the second North American Car of the Year award for Hyundai!

2012 North American Car of the Year
This award, which is known as the most prestigious award given to a car or truck throughout the year, isn't the first time that Hyundai has garnered such a high position with a new vehicle model.
